Suspension Squeak

The front end of my truck "creaks" or "squeaks" when I drive over sharp bumps (e.g. speed bumps) at slower speeds. The dealer has used a special lubricant on some of the front end bsuhings which worked for a few days. Any one else have this problem and solve it?

Mine does it too, but only when I first start out in the morn. After about a mile it's gone. So, I ignore it.

I have that aggravating squeak as well. All the time on gravel roads. Also when it upshifts in the lower gears. I thought it might be an engine mount. Haven't had time to get alongside it with someone else driving and narrow the location. Does it all day long--not just in the morning. My next stop will be the dealer. Hope they have something better than a short-term lubricant.

My squeak turned out to be the cat rubbing on the skid plate cross-member. The diagram that came with the skid plates shows a straight exhaust pipe, but mine has that big catalytic "bulb" in it, and it hangs low enough to rub on that member when you hit a bump. The dealer's tech loosened the exhaust mounts and lifted the entire assembly to get it up off the cross-member. It doesn't squeak anymore.

I have at least momentarily stumped the dealer on two other questions: 1) how do you aim the headlights? and 2) does Dodge make a fuel tank skid plate. On the latter, the big Ram 2004 truck brochure mentions the fuel tank skid plate in two places. The parts dept. is looking...
