Not trying to hijack your thread, but I do not know how to remove the wire.

My driver side sunvisor had my garage door opener on it and all of a sudden it will not stay up with anything attached to it. Will just barely stay up with its own weight. Is there an easy fix or do I need to replace the visor.

I have not taken mine down yet to look but my visor is broke and needs replaced.
Can you pull the headliner down at all? Maybe expose more wire and a possible connector?

It ticked me off and i just cut the wire. did not put a mirrored one back on. There is no fix you need to replace.

The 03MY trucks were notorious for weak sun visor hinges. Unfortunately, the only fix is to replace it.

Try lowering it a bit and banging it hard with your right hand toward the drivers window. Seems to keep mine from dropping down on dirt roads for awhile.

Repeat again when it starts falling down.

I 'am no sure its been awhile, the sun visor has a friction fit where the rod goes in if you pull the visor out of the rod and flatten out where the rod came from and push it back out it mite work?????
