Mine did and some guys on the Cummins Forum site sourced some nylon bushings that tap into that space eliminating the slop. You then tighten a hose clamp around the area to keep them from wiggling out. I'll try and find the article. They can be had at Graingers with the right part #.

Bushings
The bushings I saw and read about were nothing more than 3/8 ID nylon tube , sourced at local Ace Hardware . Cut to proper length and install a hose clamp or large cable tie to keep them installed in place . Pretty simple fix that works
