285/70/17 Toyo or Goodyear Duratrac?
Hoping to get some feedback on this decision, from anyone with experience with either tire..
I'm needing tires for my 2007 2500, and am having a hard time choosing between two (maybe 3) tires. Help please with experience or insight.. I had 285/75/16 Goodyear MTR on my 98 12 valve 4x4 and loved them, though they wore a little fast. Bought them more for the super tough sidewalls than the tread, but man what a great tire. Sadly they don't make what I want in a 17"
Use: contractor in the city, where the streets are terrible. Lots of potholes and on/off curbs, narrow streets etc. I tow every week, up to 14k sometimes, but usually 8k. Weather is from 100º to 10º, rain, snow, everything. Some dirt roads but not much. City/ highway driving split 50/50
My priorities are performance and treadlife over noise. It's a diesel truck in the city after all. My size preference is 285/70/17
I like the reviews of the Goodyear Duratrac, and have always had good luck with the brand. I think the warranty covers the tire carcass, like belt failure etc, but not sure about treadwear.
There are many good reviews here on the Toyo AT-II and I'm also looking at the CT. But, there are several reviews on the TOYO site, where guys have gotten lousy life from them. But other sites, they seem to be the cats meow. What gives?
Any insight please.. I'd rather get the best, not cheapest tire. Pay once, cry once as they say..

I currently have the Toyo at 2. (35") They have been quiet and I have almost 40,000 Miles on them- they need to be replaced. I bought them from all the rave reviews- don't take much weight to balance, etc . All my tires have at least 6 ounces on them. I have had a small vibration with them since new- Toyo replaced two tires that had the most weight- wouldn't do all four tires.. tires have been balanced several times including road forced balanced, beads and done by different shops - couldn't get rid of the vibration- next tires, going back to Firestone destination at- never had an issue with them.
