I cleaned mine with a sray cleaner and then used armor all. No more squeak. Trick is you got to get the boot to move up a little when cleaning and armor all'ng. It took a couple of cleanings before it went away. About two car washes in two months.
Hope this helps

I had the same squeak ,went to dealer, replaced all the linkage with new , as if the new -new one was not going to squeak ? ha . Of course it did . I poped the boot cover off , it does pop off, pumped in 2 pump from the grease gun down in there as far as poss. and no squeak now for 6 months. Dealers are all complete idiots. This is the 3rd time i have simple fixed a problem for them. next is the clutch pedal squeak. good luck.

hobbes2,
I had clutch pedal squeak so crawled under dash and sprayed some lubricant on moving parts, worked lube in, no squeak - I used to have to do this every 6 months on my powerjoke but, so far just one time in 80,000 miles and over 2 years. give it a try

Figured it out from this thread (https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...highlight=boot). Sprayed some Silicone lubricant on the linkage and it has stopped. Happy days are here again! Man that squeak was driving me crazy!
