Software upgrade?

Software upgrade?
Can you educate me on the software upgrades for our trucks? 2005 2500
The dealer told me I am currently at Rev D. They can upgrade to Rev G.
It would cost me $100 for them to do it normaly. But, because of the "out of park" recall I would get the Rev G for free.
Where can I find what the upgrade will do, and has anyone else done it? Is there a big enough difference to justify the "out of park alarm" or is it worth it?
I am assuming I will get better MPG, better starting, and better shifting?

Iv also got an 05, and although I dont know what the upgrade G is, I do know that you dont want the " out of park" done because it cant be reversed.
Iv been asked a couple of times by the dealer if I want it and I have told them NO.
