Lightbulb Sirius Subscription Discount

My free year of sirius is about up. I want to renew, but the rates are pretty steep. Does Sirius offer a discount if you let it lapse? Or has anyone ever gotten a discount to renew?

Ya, a big $1 per month off the regular price
I find it interesting that if you by the lifetime plan for 500 clams they want to charge you $75 anytime you switch radio equipment and need your account changed over to the new tuner.
I just changed out my stock unit for an aftermarket stereo and they switched it with no problems

I have searched the last couple of days and have found discounts on equipment but none on service. I have heard rumors that XM offers a deal to get you back if you let your subscription expire!
I may find out by letting my Sirius expire!

XM and Sirius are combined now.
I'd wait to see what shakes out of that.

They are NOT combined. They talked about merging. It will not happen as far as I can tell though. Just like FCC stopped Directv and Dish netowrk form merging.....

how can you afford a CTD and think 12 bucks is too much?? That's as much as one stiff drink at the bar! I added a second subscription and it's only 6 bucks a month! I could never be without it with all the driving I do.

Yea, yea, I know $150 a year. But I'm retired don't drive long distances, truck is almost a year old & has only 7000 miles on it. It's kinda hard to justify $150 when we have some really good Radio stations close!

forget Sirius prices, how do you have a car and only drive 7k in a year
i so wish I oculd do that.
In 03 I bought a HDF150 and sold it 12 months later with 23k
in 05 I bought a new SD and sold it 10 months later with 26k miles
in 05 I bought a Rubicon and when I got my Titan 10 months later it had 28k
My Titan I got in July and sold it last week and it had 30k on it
in between all this, in the lat year I put 100 hours on the boat, 13k miles on my Harley, and 1k miles on my Rhino.
When I go to dinner I take one of the cars althoug I do nto drive them as much. 02 LS430 with 60k and Just sold the 86 Conv. Vette with 32k miles. Only out on weekends and always garaged.

Sirius is the only way to go. If your not driving alot, bring the unit inside and listen to the beautiful, commercial free music. Or buy the boombox, and take it with you on the front porch.

Personally, while I think it is relatively inexpensive; I say save the cash if you can. Get them to call you and offer the 3 months for $12. saving $$ is saving $$ no matter how much it is.

When I am in the truck, it's always on. I may or may not gamble on letting it lapse. It's not like you have anything to lose by letting it lapse other than a break in service and that can be fixed in a phone call so......
