Junky, This is a Canadian truck and from what Im learning something is different up here with the sirius. The spec sheet shows that the truck is sirius ready....but I have no antenna and the radio mode button will not read satellite.

JWash1- I have not contacted Sirius for activation in my Dodge because it does not have the antenna nor will my radio mode button show sirius when pushed.

I would still call sirius and see what they have to say as I'm assuming they've probably had dealt with this issue before and could advice you on what to do next such as the antennae.

My factory cheepie radio was Sat dead too. I was told I was the only radio owner that the people back in factory repair-land had EVER heard of being bad. It took them two days and two weeks later for them to order a new head unit for replacement. I had gone through the process of adding the radio to Sirius's system. Then a few minutes later....nothing! Dead. So, don't feel too special...

the rb1 does not have provision for satelite radio, and if it does you would have to get the add on box to make it work.

I'm told that your mode button won't display an Aux/Sat reading until something is physically connected to it. I bought a Peripheral Aux Interface to connect my Sirius Sportster directly to an aux plug on my factory RAK 6 disc deck. I went this route because of the long distances I travel with work, I'm constantly switching my FM to a clear station and hardwiring it into the deck gives a much quality sound. Call the guys at PIE, they're super helpful and have an application chart on their website.

Sirius

Hey CookieMonster... PIE is who? That is awesome if I can order a Sirius Dodge tuner and put an antena on and be up and running. Once I plug in the tuner the radio should see it...I think thats what your saying?
Did you get your aux cable hooked up and did it work on the mode button of your radio?
