Shock recommendation

Hello all. I'm currently working on a deal to buy a 04 2500. It is lifted with what appears to be a Procomp suspension lift...maybe about 5". It rides like a tank. I think this is due to the Procomp shocks...In my jeeping days, I noticed the same ride from this brand of shock as well. So any recommendations on shock brands that would improve the ride quality? Thanks.

I'd talk to Carli or Thuren and see if they can put something together for you with custom valving.

If you don't plan to swap out the 5" spacer and the extremely stiff rear springs then spending alot of coin on shocks won't make much sense. I would throw a set of 5100's on there and see if that makes you happy. Next step would be to replace the 5" spacer and stock coils for a good set of progressive coils like Carli's or Pure Performance's. After that it would be an improvement to add a set of mini-packs in the rear to replace the stiff overload leaf.

I like my bilsteins especially towing, they do make them for trucks with a lift kit.

Thanks for the replies...looks like I will have to live with the procomp shocks for now as I have to spend $1200 on new tires.
