Re:screen front for 03
I'm about to go buy a fiberglass mesh screen made for a house window and make some brackets to mount it somehow. My condenser get full of bugs and many small rocks which I can't get out. I wish someone made a screen too....

On my '99, I attatched the screen to the underhood side of the grill.
I used cable ties to attatch it to the grill frame.
It protects the radiator/condensor and stays out of the way when you pop the hood.

Re:screen front for 03
Hey Ed!! Well, that helps for the part of the condenser behind the grill but there is about 5-6 inches that is still exposed under that. That's why I was thinking about just buying a screen with a frame and screwing some brackets onto it to mount to the radiator support. That way I could make it hang a little lower to protect the very bottom. It's just an idea now, though. I'm not even sure it will work...

Try this, buy a bug screen that goes on the outside of a auto. Cut it down so that it fits behind the grill. Then just tie wrap it in front of the radiator so it catches the bugs. I've used this method on my 01 Dakota QC and my 03 Ram QC 3500. It works wonders and keeps the screen hiden from view.

Just make sure you keep it clean to keep the a/c, rad and intercooler working at max efficiency. Screens restrict air flow and will up your a/c pressures.

I ran it accross country and back in June/July and had no problems with it. I only cleaned it once on the way back, I was pulling a trailer both ways and the temp was about 100 degrees most of the time on the way back. Cruzin at @70 with the AC going and pulling the TT. Way cool, averaged @11.5 mpg. Passed alot of Powejokes in the process. ;D
