S&B Air Filter
I have a S&B Air Intake system installed on my truck. I checked the filter itself today and it's really dirty. I do not have time to order one via the internet due to me haveing to drive to Texas (1,200 one way) in a few days. Can i simply pull it off and "clean it" and if so with what product? There isn't anyone in the town where I live that carries these filters and I know how bad it is to run a motor with a dirty filter. Any help would be great.

Actually, running it with a dirty filter isn't bad as long as you keep an eye on your EGTs. It will just effect fuel mileage for the worse. You really don't want to have to clean the S&B in the wild, as it has to dry overnight- this is the main reason I pulled the one off my 2003 and went back to the stock set-up.
But that said, you can find the instructions on S&B's website if you're really feeling like tackling the cleaning. I would bet the K&N cleaning kit would work just fine on the S&B, and those can be found at any autoparts store.

I used the K&N cleaning kit on mine a lot on my old truck, worked well for several hundred thousand km's. The only reason I use the AFE kit now is to keep the blue color it came with. I'd bet aside from color, the oils will be identical.
