Here is a dumb question I figured someone here might be able to answer. Will the front Road Armor bumper for the 03-05 model fit on my 06? I know it will look a bit odd since the 06 doesn't have the 03-05 round bottom lights, but will it physically bolt on without smashing my headlights? Is there any difference in the mounting points to the frame?

The reason for the dumb question is there is a pair of roadarmor bumpers from a 2004 for sale locally that are already colormatched flame red. The guy is asking $1650 for the pair with 2 pairs of Piaa lights installed. I doubt the seller would be willing to spearate the pair and just sell me the rear.

I don't really need the bumpers, but the price looks like a deal and the color is the same as my truck.

for that price, i would get them both anyway. use the rear and sell the front and make a bit of money back. or if you know someone with fab experience, you can have them cut out the 03-05 headlight circles on the bumper and weld in a flat piece that fits against your headlight.

looking at their prices, they want $1300 for the rear bumper. get both and if you can't make the front fit, sell it for a grand and you will still be ahead.

 

I have the fab equipment (plasma, welder, etc.) to modify the part near the headlights, although that would require repainting afterwards.

 

ya but for the price, you can't go wrong. then include $240-$550 shipping (according to Road Armors website in the FAQ section. you can have it powdercoated for a couple hundred, enjoy the fabbing and drink a couple cold ones, have fun and save money.

 

It won't look right as the headlights are shaped round in two spots on the 2003-2005's.
