Ran 2500 ac charge question
Hi guys, im new to recharging the AC system, so im trying to learn.Yesterday My 2003 quad diesel was at 25 psi on the low side, out side temperature was 100 F, added the majority of one can 18 oz freon\oil to the system. Brought the low side up to 45 psi.The system is working great now, both driver and passenger vents are blowing with in 2 degrees of each other.* Before i added the R134 freon the vents where 12 degrees difference in the driver side and passanger side. I've read threw a bunch of threads dealing with the PSI pressure in the dodge rams. Where do you look up the psi low and high side pressure compared to out side Temperature. I picked out some numbers from the threads, but where do they come from? Is there some servic manual i should pick up for reference ? What i found where 75F = low 28-35 psi high 225-250 psi // 90F = low 35-40 psi High 190-225 psi

It's interdynamics homepage and they have tons of info there. They're showing at 100* ambient outside temp the low side should be 50-55psi but it doesn't say if that's a static reading or not......I'm gonna say that it is. I generally try to keep the low side around 15-25psi....with the system running of course.

Air Temp at Center Panel Outlet 55*
Compressor Inlet Presure at Service Port (low side) 35-45 psi
Condensor Out Pressure at Service Port (High side) 290-390 psi
From the manual I have.
At 90* Ambient;
55*
30-40psi
250-350psi
Any hotter than that, you live in the wrong place.
