Greetings all

I did the normal removal of Fuel rail Valve cover removal to do the test on injectors. My Rail Pressure Sensor came off in two pieces. The plastic (black) top piece seperated from the metal housing that screws into the rail. Is this normal or is the Rail Pressure sensor a two piece unit...? There are no cracks and the pieces fit back together. Your comments are appreciated.

It's a bosch sensor and bosch told me to replace it. They also said to try it and see if it will work. I'll have a new one on hand in the event that it doesn't work.

It should be one piece.
I would replace it.

Thanks TolyM I am having a new one sent over today. If it's not here today it will arrive tomorrow.

Changed out to the new pressure rail sensor, and truck fired up with two new reman injectors, and a new valve cover wiring harness.

Glad you got it fixed.
I got 6 reman injectors. Had them for over 20k miles without an issue.
Friend of mine has remans for over 100k miles with great filtration has no issues.
