has anyone expirienced going over bumps and having your front brakes raddle?

 

What makes you think it's your brakes?

 

My brakes rattle also. I know it is the brakes because when you apply them they don't rattle. I have checked them and there is a little play in the calipers, but every thing is tight. I have seen other posts about having to shim the calipers, I have not done it, I fugured I would just deal with it.

 

Thank's I will try that, it's when i go buy a wall it's loud sounds like a old truck, if i tap on the brakes it will go away. had it back to the shop twice no luck. thank's for the info

 

I recommend that you check all caliper bolts. I had a caliper bolt back out and exit. Luckily, the other bolt kept the caliper on the truck. Loctite is your friend.

 

I just had to replace my front axel U-joints. First my right one started ratteling and a little later the left. See if there is any play at all in either one of those U-joints and I would say thats what you are hearing.
