My factory key works fine with my door handle covers.

Question: On getting a spare key to wire on the frame somewhere for emergencies. When I go to Wal Mart what key do I need to tell them its for? Just Dodge Ram p/u or will it be something else?

I installed the Putco door covers and had ther same issue as everyone else.... However if you just push on the key a little, it will reach deep enough to operate the lock. This is not ideal, but it will work in a pinch, and other than a pinch who uses the manual lock anyway. I have a flay Key made at home depot, but just in case you do not have one, your regular key will work with a little push.
