I've heard others say the same about it peeling right up when removing the tape.
Did you try to scuff the bumper first? Not sure if that would help or not.

I have some KC lights that have the roll on stuff applied to them. Holding up pretty good. Not sure if the chrome was scuffed first or not because they were done when I got them.

You might want to pull up the tape before it dries

Waiting for the finish shot, particularly the tailpipe. Been meaning forever to do that. I bought the the paint and cleaned the tailpipe with steel wool then didn't get it wiped or sprayed The wind always picked up at the wrong time.

This^^^ Pull the tape right away and before it dries so that the paint doesn't create a bond to both surfaces (tape and bumper). That's why it pulled off. It'll take time to cure (any paint) and until then will peel easily.
