Penny clearance between caliper and new wheel
I can fit a penny between my new wheel and the brake caliper on my 08 2500. Wheels are off a power wagon. Don't like it being that tight myself. Should I run it or go with a different wheel? Thoughts would be appreciated

17inch rim??? Mine is the same way. Just clears calipers. Put new calipers on mine last winter- for two days I heard a noise coming from front driver's rim/wheel when I slowed down. Pulled tire, the new caliper from napa had numbers embossed on caliper- which were rubbing on my inner rim!! I had to grind down those embossed numbers- not much room with 17 inch rims!

Yeah I'm replacing the stock 17" steel wheels with 17" aluminium wheels. I'm guessing that the power wagon must run smaller calipers. My old 17" wheels have plenty of room. Slightly different offset could be too blame too. Just debating on whether or not to use them.

I have aftermarket aluminum rims and they're a tight fit.
I learned that when I get new tires or have them rebalanced I have to ask the tire shop to use stick on weights arranged in a single layer. If they don't the weights get knocked off and the wheels and tires quickly become unbalanced.
