Opinions on lift please...

'06 quad cab. I'm looking to go between a 4" and 6" lift with 35x12.50s. I know a lot of you guys run those lift sizes regardless of tire size. I was really interested in stuff from carli and thuren, but anything over 2.5" are well beyond what i'm willing to pay. I would like that smooth ride, but i must compromise. I've looked at Tuff country lifts. I know i want to replace the coil springs and put on better, longer shocks. I also know that i'd like to go with a stock rake or at least 1" rake.....so 4" front, 3 or 4" rear would be ideal up to 6" front, 5" rear. I understand i'll probably have to buy seperate lift blocks and u-bolts for the back to have this.

Also, is there anyone with 35"s and 3.73 or 4.10 ratios that can tell me the fuel mileage difference you've seen? My truck has 3.73s but it might be in my future to swap to 4.10 after the 35's

P.S. Theres no used telling me i can put a leveling kit on one and fit 35s because i dont like the way that looks and i am not going to do it.

Is there a reason you want to go with a 4-6" lift for 35's? I run 35's (almost). on my bone stock truck with no issues.

yes. the reason is because thats what i want to do. Not trying to be smart about it. In my personal opinion just because they'll fit doesnt mean they should fit.

Take a look at the Pure Performance kits, seem like a well built unit. I'll probably go with the long arm kit when the time comes. You probably will have to piece together rear end parts to achieve the rake you want as most kits level the trucks off.

What's your budget?

Thuren just came out with an entry kit using Fox 2.0 shocks that isn't up on his site yet. I think it's more cost-effective than the Carli 2.0...

If you want a great ride, you're going to have to ante up to softer springs and custom-valved shocks, no two ways about it. But with the Carli and Thuren stuff, you can buy stuff incrementally, without having to buy stuff twice.

Not a problem bro... Just curious, that's all. If I was going with a lift of that height, I'd look at BDS suspension, simply due to their awesome lifetime warranty.

I dont have a budget per se. I would like to find something around the $1200 range plus shocks. What are they wanting for the Thuren kit with the 2.0s and how much lift is it going to offer? I know those are expensive shocks.

Yeah you're right...$1,150 for the shocks alone, with Thuren's custom valving.
In that range you're gonna have to look at other alternatives.
