A while back my reverse lights were intermitten. I noticed that while in "R" if I wiggled the shifter the backup lights would flash.

So, I crawled under the rig to try to figure out if any wires were discconected but I cant find any wires.

Question is...does anyone have any idea where the reverse light switch is on the tranny?

And...how do I get to it?

 

My 2002 with the 6spd had the same problem. I think there are more solutions in the 2nd gen forums. I found that if I wiggled the stick shift and got the lights on they would normally stay on. I originally found this problem when the lockout for the surge brakes on my boat trailer would not lockout in reverse. I never tried to change the switch, but there was a fix in the other forum a while ago.

I have a 6 speed and my reverse light went intermittent. Took it in to the dealer and they replaced the switch. Works fine now.
