If the truck is the 6.7L cummins with all factory emissions equipment in place, it should be 50 state legal. In fact, I'm pretty sure that I read Cummins is ahead of the ball-game, and that this combo already meets emissions specs for the next teir of emission control coming in 2010!

I hope no one gets offended, but why take the word of "somebody" on the internet? Call the local license branch and know for sure. Ask at the inspection station.... they should know as well. Have someone show you in print (i.e. legal document ) somewhere why he wouldn't be able to import a truck from PA to NYC.

They are legal in PA. I live here and have never heard that.

The only difference I would know of is that PA doesn't require emissions testing for the PA Vehicle State Inspection for diesels yet in most areas. I believe the bigger cities of PA are either considering emissions testing for diesels or have already begun the testing. They do not require emissions testing for diesels for the state inspection in my area as yet.

Mopar72............all Dodge CTD's since 04.5 (325*610) are 50 state emissions legal. If you recall, there were some states that 3rd GEN HO's (305*555) were not offered for sale.....the 235 hp and 250 hp HPCR's were offered instead.

No emissions testing here in the Pittsburgh Pa area yet.

As long as the factory emissions stuff is on it, it is fine.
