Mud Flaps

Or "splash guards" in the politically correct world. I looked at the Mopar/Dodge Accessories webpage at the mud flaps, and the note said "not for use with step bars or running boards", or something to the effect.

I was planning on putting Westin step bars on my truck, but I can't imagine what these bars would do to interfer with the mud flaps. Anyone have a clue? Am I missing something?

Well, running boards are usually integrated into the wheel wells, kinda all in one sorta deal. So this kinda makes sense.

If you're getting steps or a nerf type bar, then mud flaps would be great, in fact I'd recommend getting them. I've got some pics of my rig with mud flaps and step bar, and there are many other pics of other rigs in the gallary.

Well, forget that, looks like most of my photos were deleted.

I got mudflaps on mine, only in the back. I've got nerf bars on mine (Westin) and from were they sit on the frame, you shouldn't have any problems mounting splash guards, or mudflaps. I've got pics in my gallery. In one of the pics you can see how far they sit back on the front.

Every set of nerf bars I've seen for the 3rd gen mount to the body mounts. I wouldn't think it would be an issue. There are however some running boards that mount in the same spot mud flaps would.

I have the molded Mopar mud flaps and Putco wheel-to-wheel Boss Bars. No problem on mine. The flaps screw into the fender and wheel well. The nerfs bolt under the body into those infamous holes that are covered with tape instead of plugs.

Flaps

I have Mopar flaps on the front and rear as well as the Mopar nerf bar. They installed them when purchased. No problems.
