Moving HVAC controls to cubby hole?

I have a 2004.5 Ram 2500. I'm interested in moving my HVAC controls down to the opening where the cubby hole is just below where the HVAC controls are currently located.

Have any of you moved your controls? I suspect it's possible and not too difficult but it would sure be helpful to talk to someone who has done it.

The reason I want to move them is to make room for a built-in LCD screen in the dash. I'd take out the current radio and use that location and the HVAC control location to hold the LCD.

Also, does anyone know where I might be able to purchase the entire bezel (Eg, the black face plate) around the radio, HVAC controls and cubby hole? That entire panel?

just a note, that entire panel also includes the drivers side/pass side heat vents, cigg lighter and air bag cut out switch/blanking plate... it's that big. the center radio section is all one piece

Are you saying the black panel isn't separate from the the rest of it?

there was someone over at dodgetalk.com that located it right under the stearing colume to put in a monitor in the dash.

do do what your are talking about you would probably have to fab up a new bezel.
