Mopar Hood Scoop for RAM

I keep seeing a hood scoop on all of the Rumble Bee packaged trucks and wouldn't mind having one to go on my truck. I haven't been to the dealer to check on the price or part number yet. Anyone know how much and what PN# ? Thanks Jim

I purchased a primered version; it's part number 82208576, "Scoop Kit"; it lists for $329 but I ordered mine from the dealer for $296.40. I'm sure the pre-painted ones are more, provided your truck is the same color as what's offered. Sales tax was $17.78 and I had a friend with a body shop nearby paint, clearcoat, and install for $85.00 so I have $399.18 in it.
It is secured to the hood with six bolts, and it has a very nice idiot proof template for the hole drilling. Pics are in my gallery. I wrote another thread once here on the DTR; I'll try to edit w/link a little later.

spend $200 more and get the SRT10 factory steel hood. IMHO the bolt on hood scoop looks just that : a tacky bolt on....

here are the part #s:

502941 - HOOD
YL23TZ - BEZEL w/ Grill
cost @$575, of course you can easily paint/install it yourself and if you truely wish to do it the right way order the SRT10 hood insulation kit for $62.00

I dealt with :

Art Kendrick
Henson Motors Net Sales
(800)530-5337 or (936)348-3618
Mon-Fri 8-5 Central Time
artk@hensonmotors.com

fast shipping and actually had ALL the parts in stock....

I have seen both on Ebay. I think I saw the Romble Bee scoop for about $280 Painted, could be wrong. The SRT 10 Hood for 5 something unpainted

Hoping I get some extra money to do one or t'other

Thanks for the responses.

That's still a little a pricey for me to pay for a fiberglass scoop.

I agree the smart thing to do would be to buy a SRT10 hood. I just didn't want to go that far with it. I already have the center section of my hood striped black. I thought I could shoot the scope with a little silver stripe down the center and then paint the rest black to match my existing hood.

I think I will put my money into something else I need. Thanks Jim

It's not fiberglass.
