OK,
So I have almost 72k on my tires. Cracks all around. Was planning on replacing them in the spring anyhow.
Does Michelin pro rate the tire cost based on mileage or are they just replacing them under a no mileage-limit 6 year warranty?
I think with the miles I have on them, the pro rated cost wouldn't be worth the effort to replace the tires at dealer price. I would go to a discount tire place like BJ's to get them.
FWIW, I have been very happy with the Michelins and would go with them again.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Steve

Interesting. When mine were done a month ago today, the guy at Sears told me I was the first guy west of the Mississippi to have them and probably the first guy outside of California to have them. My tires came from a warehouse in California. Hmmm.

I just had my SECOND set of Michelins replaced on the same truck last week because of the cracking. First replacement at 9000 miles at 100% replacement and then at 17,000 miles at 100% replacement. I just found out about the LTX A/T 2's but it looks like they are on back order. We will have to wait and see how long this second set goes before the cracking starts again. Next time I WILL go with another type of tire.

I see that all the time out here in the desert. Personally I have not seen any issues with them cracking like that.

See this is weird...like I said, ive got about 33K on mine and they are shot, sidewalls are cracked horribly and they are worn down to almost completely bald, my fronts still havfe a little tread on them but thats only because once my tires get worn to a certain point I leave the ones with the most tread on the front (a front tire blowout at 75mph is no walk in the park in a 7000 lb truck), but my rears are bald as bald gets...thats why im thinking mich is not going to honor the warranty

oh, and im running 80 psi in front and 70 in the rear.
