Mega Cab Picture?

Not sure if this has been posted before, as I don't come into the 3rd Gen forums often, but I found this browsing Car Spy Photos

Seems to be a photo of the new mega cab.

2006 not 2005! Still a year away. What I find most interesting, it gives credence to the GM Suburban competitor rumor. Nat

So, was that pic of a truck with a shell, or is it an SUV? It will be nice when we can actually SEE the new cab... I can't tell anything from that pic.

You know...every time my wife sees the big rear doors on a Ford she says "We should have gotten one of those!" Which make me think I'd love to do this:

Don't be funny... you know it's not a shell. Can't be a shell, it just can't be. I just hope it has a Cummins option when it's unveiled.

Hey Commatoze. Wife's comment wouldn't be because she's wanting to install an infant car seat would it? To haul Lizzy I mean ...

On edit, of course it maybe just wishful thinking on my part that Dodge would build an improved Suburban with a Cummins.

Well, Well.....Last week I was in colorado on vacation and heading down Loveland Pass to the Interstate I saw 3 of those blasting up the pass going the other way. I thought it was odd and at the time.....I figured it was some kind of camper on the back. Must've been going for some offroad testing.....

Big Rig,

The way the material was flappin' in the wind I don't think it could be a SUV.....
They were really moving.

It's hard to tell in the picture, but the caption says its a truck.

Same pic was in popular mechanics, my question is where is the rest of the pics?If this was a guy that takes pics of new models for a living he would have surely slowed down and took more pics from various angles instead taking one after he had passed?? Gotta be some better pics of this out there somewhere..

That's why I was confused... with that cladding, it looks rather SUV-ish, and someone had mentioned a Suburban competitor, yet from what I could read on that picture, it was talking about the HD pickup. Would have liked to see it from different angles, or better yet without the stinkin' jumbo LeBra all over it. Guess we'll have to just wait and see.

Doesn't really matter that much to me since I'm stuck paying for this one for a long time... they'll have a 4th gen out by the time I'm ready, but hey, I'd like to see what I'll be missing anyways!

I agree. It does resemble an SUV in the picture, but I would say they had to make it look like that.

If they used the tarp over just the cab, it'd be easy to tell how big the cab is and give everything away. Now, spy pictures aren't exactly known for being hard to tell what they really are, but it's one possible explaination.

Also, I'm pretty sure you can see where the bed is through the tarp.

I'm not so sure that bulge isn't the fender bulge below the edge of the bed. To me it looks too low to be the bed pushing out the tarp. Sure would like to see additional pics from the rear.
