Map and dome lights
2006 2500. My map and dome lights work when i open the doors. Driving down the road they wont, unless i turn them on by the dash dimmer switch. Any ideas?

Mine has done the same thing for years. Mine started when the headliner was dropped by a paintless dent repair company to fix hail damage. I've just never looked into it but would love to know if someone else has fixed it!!!

Reviving this post! I have same issue. I am not able to turn either light on by pressing on the light. It appears they are broke or jammed. Where can I purchase a new housing, switch or just upgrade the complete assembly.
