Here's the proper fix. Replace only what breaks with a new high strength part. NOT make of weak injection molded plastic. Included is a pic of broken OEM part.

Bad plastic too...

So, I am in the same boat but it's my passenger side lumbar support that's a fowl. I called Chrysler, they said let them do an exhaustive search and could I hold? So two minutes later they got on the line and said....yep, ya gotta get the seat back at 780.00!!! I told the fella I hope he wasn't too tired after that 2 minute exhaustive search!

I did find out that Lear corporation manufactures those seats, but of course they cannot sell that part nor would they sell to the public.

I guess I'll try the part number everyone is posting however the part in the above picture in the post above mine...what is that and where can I get one?

Thanks
Rob

Over 3 1/2 years since last post. No one have a problem since then?

Mine 2005 has been broken for years (probably at least 10) and I've been using a lumbar cushion ever since.

If a bullet-proof reliable solution to this problem was ever found I'd sure like to know about it!

Lumbar weak link, repalcement

Hi, I just was looking at your post and fix for the lumbar support on 2005 Dodge pick up. Do you have a website or how can I purchase your stronger part to fix my seat. Thanks Josh

Do you have a link or the part number for this piece. I really don't want to spend $42 for a $4 piece of plastic.
