Line of Fire LED Light Bar/Spare tire access

Do these light bars cover up the hole for the spare tire crank?

Does anybody have one of these? "Fire & Ice LED Light Bar"

Good question. I'm thinking about getting one just for the back up lights.

yep, they sure do cover the spare tire access hole. I mounted mine there anyway. Only a problem if I have a flat. LOL. They do look good though.

they do cover it up but they are mounted with 3m tape in three spots that are screwed into the bar with a screw so if you got a flat it would take all of 10 sec to take the bar off with a screw driver! they must have thought of that when it was made.. and i love the looks of mine!

Thumbs up

I have two of them and they sure show. I put the long one under the tail-gate and a short one on my headach rack.

I was able to get it to mount ok but I had to skip the foam pads and mount it with sheet metal screws. The problem I had was mounting it so you can open and close the tailgate without clipping the lights. The foam tape made it stick out to far.

i have one and i trimmed the plastic grommet for the tire hole and it works like a champ. i too just used sheet metal screws to mount it and lost the sticky tape. open the tailgate and make you marks then removed the gate and drilled and screwed it on and "bam"! done.

I wanted one of these for a while, and covering up the spare tire access was my concern also. This new one with the reverse lights, does anybody know how bright it is, does it actually project a decent light behind you when in Reverse??

I would love to get one, but I want acces to my spare tire hole without having to do a butcher job on the side of the road. Also, with the sheetmetal screw mount, to me, the more holes you put in your truck, the more places for rust to start.

I gotta do more thinking....
