I only have one that I know of that is leaking, but only a very heavy rain. Might have to get new amber light covers.

drop the headliner and run a bead of silicone around the hole where they come into the cab may have to take each one off and do from the top i put recon cab lights on mine and put a bead of silicone around each hole mine had three holes per light two on the sides for the screws and then a bigger one in the middle for the wires to come through hope this helps

hwebb,
I think I will try your method first. Simple and easy to do. Thanks for the replies.

I pulled mine off and ran silicone around the roof penetration. No issues in 4 years. Probably easier than dropping the headliner.

X2. I pulled the light assy and put silicone around the holes going into the roof, then put them back on, with a tiny shot if silicone in the screw holes. No problems since.

My '03 had the same problem, and when one of the lights went out they all were replaced and I hit them up with some RTV. Problem solved.

I cleaned the surfaces with alcohol, smeared a thin film of silicone under them, and installed some new nylon washers on the screws. No problems since!

Well, it was a very nice day, so I pulled the 5 lights off and cleaned them up.
Put a small amount of Silicone on them and put them back on. Now waiting for the rain.
Thank for you help.

Well, here we go again. My overhead cab lights leaked again when I washed my truck, and in the rain. A freind of mine said to take the lights off and put a lot of Vaseline on the botton of the lights and in the screw holes. WELL, one rain storm and one truck wash later, and NO leaks. Maybe that stuff does work.

Guess I should have said that, too.

I had an 83 Z-28 with T-tops, that thing leaked like it was cool. I put Vaseline on the gaskets, let it sit in the sun, BAM!
