Leaking Door Seals
I've been having a problem of ail leaking past my door seals (04 2500 quad cab), while driving in high winds. The noise can drive you crazy. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a better place, other than the dealer to purchase new seals? Has anyone tried "tweaking" the door, and has a good meathod of doing so? Thanks, Jim.

Welcome to dodge, mine is that way and has been since new. Tried new seals, adjusting doors, having worked on aircraft for 50 years seemed to helped, as I can't hear all the wind noise.

my 2005 front driver door does have an air leak, however the door fits even with the body so i do not want to adjust the door in.
so i installed a strip of sticky soft foam on the door so it mates with the rubber door seal.
help the problem about 75%
now i run the radio with 60% to the drivers side and 40% to the front.
This combination plus (maybe i am getting used to the noise but i get along with the truck fine) we are buddies now.
we bond more each time i fill the tank am getting 21-23 mpg.
my old chevy 3/4 ton got around 11-12 mpg.
so i can take a little wind noise for that mpg.
I do like the truck and mama thinks it is comfortable so all is good.

Something to think about.... I am a nut about having a quiet ride, so I put noise dampenng mat on the interior of the entire cab. This includes the roof. I had a bad wind noise from the drivers door and could not isolate the problem even after many hours of looking. I took a vaseline print of the door seal on the jamb and there was a clear contact point all of the way around. On day on a trip through Utah in December (very cold) i had the wind noise bad. I turned off the defroster and suddenly it got a lot better. The vent behind the rear seat was covered intentionally with Dyna mat and the cab could not vent so when I was drawing outside air in, it had no place to go except through the door seal... hence the wind noise.
Most of the time I am on recirculation setting, which would not cause the pressure build up...But the only way to get defrost is from outside air.
Just food for thought if anyone else has been just a bit over the top in sealing the cab.

My 2005 had a TSB on the front door seals. The original seals would get torn by the door rubbing on them, causing an air leak and noise. There is a redesigned seal that fixed the problem. Mine was fixed under warranty but the seals were not expensive and they're easy to R&R. Might be worth asking the dealer to see if your 2004 has the same issue? The new seals really did fix the problem on my truck
