Lamp Out Driving Me Nutz!!!!!
I dont know why the heck it keeps doing it, but it does. Its the left rear tail lamp and the signal works, brake works, but no running light. I have replace the bulbs in both sides, and recently i just upgraded to LED'S. And it does not do it all of the time, but its starting to make me mad. I was told it might be the TIPM but that the 03's dont have a TIPM. So What the heck could it be.
Like i said before, it will do it for a day or 2 here and there and some times it wont do it for a month or better. Im confused and i dont want to take it to the dealer for another $1000 bill from them. |
Inspect the socket,I have had to replace quite a few.

My 03 did the same thing.....There is a "computer board"/relay back there that needs to be replaced... I had that annoying ding ding for months that drove me nuts. I got the part from the dealer for less than $40 bucks, replaced it myself, and no more ding, ding, ding, ding....

i know a lot of times you need resistor for L.E.D.s especially if the are for turn signals. but yes, i have had to replace sockets as well.
|
My 03 did the same mysterious, random things. The new circuit/socket boards were $23 apiece and now everything is just fine.

Ya my leds have the resistor built in. Ya and i put new Circut board on my lamps before but it did not fx it. Thats why i bought the new led's. It has not done it in a few days so im hoping it wont do it again and it was just the circut board.

As stated check the socket... Also I am a firm believer in dielectric grease for all socket connections..
