Key Tumbler Acting Up

Hello everyone, I have a quick to ask you all.

Just recently my tumbler has been acting realy funny latley. I think it's time for a replacement. I can insert the key fine but more times then i'd like I can not remove it unless I fiddle w/ it for a good 5-10 minutes, that can be extremely aggrivating especially if I need to be somewhere and do not wan't to leave my keys in the ignition. I also for the life of me can't get the key to roll all the way back to get the radio on when the truck is off.

So my question is has anyone had their tumbler replaced from the dealer? What can I expect to pay for something like this?

Thanks, Nate

It may be just one of the internal pins sticking, try getting some type of lock lubricant and squirt some into the lock and then work the key off and on a few times and sllide the key in & out of the key slot a few times, that usually helps free any stuck pins. If it works it's a cheap fix. If not then you have only wasted a few dollars. Be sure and get lock specific recomended lube, graphite or something OK for locks, not oil as it will collect dirt and will make it worse.

Unless you're dealing with an old lock, the "stickiness" is almost always corrected with some graphite lubricant.
