Order from Geno's next day air...at this point (and if it were my truck) I would pay it! You maybe able to get one at a tractor dealer or farm supply...check big rig shops...do somethong SOON...

and I also hope you were joking about wal-mart...I try very hard to not set foot in there....

I thought he posted that he added fuel treatment and the knocking disappeared? ??? I must have missed where it came back...

 

I went to the dealer and they performed the oil change and it seems to run a LOT better. Quiet and smooth...the knock is gone (for now) and if it comes back I will take it back to them...thanks for everyone help. No more contraban oil filters for me...but you would think that folks that do oil jobs would know this...but NOT...

 

You mean folks at Walmart?? I don't think so. : I wouldn't trust them to change the oil on a bicycle. :

How much knocking is considered KNOCKING?? My diesel knocks more than my gasser ever did...but I thought that was just part of being a diesel. It's done it since the day I got it. :-

 

Yes Hoss a diesel will make more clatter than a gasser. :
It's missing the spark plugs ya know....
Gotta ignite the fuel somehow....

 

It usually runs nice and smooth...but every once in a while is sounds like someone with a sledge hammer under the hood...it's gone now...and I hope it never returns...
