Give it a read and don't drag your feet about contacting your dealer. I suspect there will be a backlog quickly.

When I said "on-line with Dodge" I didn't mean the dealer. Based on my VIN I was told it did not apply to my truck......guess I'll wait and see if I get a letter.

Got my letter yesterday. Very confusing letter. Says at the top this recall applies to my truck and gives me the VIN number. Then, when they detail the year and model of truck involved, it did not include mine. So, called a few minutes ago - - yep, it involves mine, they have the parts, they will do it next Tuesday. They were right on top of it.

Had the air bag replacement done yesterday. Took right at two hours. It was the first one they had done and let me watch some of it. Interesting. Sort of scary when you realize how many people have been killed or seriously hurt by these exploding bags and mostly those occurred in warm, high humidity areas. HELLO - - - anyone been to Florida. Glad it didn't happen to us and that is over with. Now I wonder how much this new one has been tested. HMMM??????

Meh, not worried about it. If a bumper tap takes me home it will be glorious.

I have a horn fault. It is a shorted ring switch in the steering wheel air bag center hub. I was at the dealer yesterday. They won't fix the switch for liability reasons. They must change the whole assembly at $400. Of course it is the same part as what is being recalled. My truck is still not on the recall list as of yesterday. Lastly, they stated that the world-wide supply is "0". Everything is on back order. They disconnected the horn cable and told me to check in with them in 2 months.

I am concerned now. My truck is still not on the airbag recall list and I know it should be. I am driving in an UNSAFE truck. What are we to do when Dodge delays my VIN from the list?
