Invoice differences by state????
OK, can anyone explain to me why the various invoice guides (Carpoint, Edmunds, KBB, Chrome) show a TX, NH, ME (and some various other states) invoice charge of several hundred dollars??

You spec out the truck, but then you have to add that invoice adjustment for those states - MSRP addition is zero - but since I'm planning on paying invoice, it's important?

What gives???

Re:Invoice differences by state????
Joel,
First, welcome to the site. I found two "area" charges on my invoice. One was for the state and one the specific area. They were "promotional" or advertising charges. Don't know exactly what they consisted of, but they were not that much to argue over. I was told it depended where you were what that charge would be. They amounted to a couple hundred dollars total. One was called A42, the other T42, Orlando specific. Bob ps: just noticed Hunter got a $500 area discount. That is probably what I had to pay - - to help Hunter out in that impoverished area of Oregon. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh] :-[ |
