I have a 2008 ram 2500 and wish to replace the regular mirrors with tow mirrors. Are there any tricks to removing the door panel? Will there more than likely be any broken clips I'll need to replace?
I've taken apart door panels on older chevy's before and always swore I'd take it to a body shop next time.

 

I would make sure that you have the proper door tools to remove the panels. I also believe there are some TORX screws that will need to be removed.
I too have removed the panels on Chevy trucks and cars but when using the proper tools I never had and clip issues.

 

Several screws and you lift the door up wards there are down wards hooks that hold the door in place. Be careful when removing because of wires for switches.

 

On my 06 it's a piece of cake! Three screws and lift the panel up and away. Takes about 30 seconds.
