I see a lot of people asking questions about A/C problems here.

Freon charging questions-- Blend doors ---fresh air/recirculate doors. All this on fairly new vehicles. LOL, were these A/C systems designed by Fords diesel engine designers? I've had to charge mine twice (24000 miles) since I bought it in 03/04/2003. Never had this much trouble with a new vehicle A/C.

In my opinion it is the weakest part of the truck. The design was not as good as it should be. Newer 07 trucks should be better. Hopefully when they come out with the new body style they will correct the bobo. What I mean is a more efficient condensor, evaporator air flow, and those stupid motors that don't stop where they are supposed to breaking blend and recir. doors. Everyone dosen't have problems but a fair amount do.

I guess its the luck of the draw. My 03 (built 5-03)will freeze you out of the cab. We never run the fan on high, and cruising down the highway we usually have to tweek the temp **** up just a bit.

That is just low refrigerant. Mine worked fine for about 60k then it leaked down enough to blow warm on the passenger side and freeze up. Topped off and it will now freeze you out of the cab. Over 100F in Raleigh with high humidity and its nice and cool.

On our trips the wife has a blanket so she can cover up. I guess mine is working alright.

I never use my A/C fresh air unless someone eats beans. Wounder If there some easy way to disconnect the actuator and close it off permanantly?

LOL, then you could just roll the windows down to expell unwanted odors.
