My a/c vent broke and I need to get the radio bezel off to fix it.

 

The picture didn't load so I'll try again. Basically you use a thin tool to pop the clips located around the bezal and pull it out to unplug the wires. It just snaps back in afterward.

Oh, there's a screw, or place for one, at the bottom of the panel that may require removal of the bottom console, if your's has one. Mine didn't have a screw in it so I only had to pull the console once to discover that.

 

would a small craftsman screw driver fit ok or something smaller?

 

That might work but you're better off using a hard plastic tool so you don't scratch the surface. I used a putty knife the first time but bought some Harbor Freight tools made for it after that. Maybe a plastic paint scraper?

No need for special tools.

Get ahold of it where you can feel the edge of the trim on the drivers side top left. Just give it a good tug.

Another good spot is if you have the small cubby on the passenger side. Use that for a grip point.

Just make sure that you dont have the screws in place before you go to tugging.

Once you have the screws out, do yourself a favor and leave them out. Makes for easier removal in the future.

Yes Sir. Different setup. 03 removal is easy too though. Single screw on the lower passenger side behind the hook.

After that its just a good tug.

 

OK, yea I've had mine off a dozen times, was curious if the screws were in the same place...
