How to raise front on 2wd model more than 1.5"
 

What is the best and most cost effective way to level a 2wd? My rearend is jacked up super high but the front is sitting like a minivan or something, I think I need at least 3" to get it to look normal. I am completely stock suspended 2006 2500 reg cab. Thanks for any advice.

Why not lower the rear? If you look at your rear spring leaf and spacer placement, you will see a couple of blocks. Either remove the blocks and replace the center bolts and U bolts or move 'em from the bottom to the top of the stack. It will drop your rear about 1 1/2". Here is a link on how to do it. The narrative is under each picture. Actually not a hard job. Easier and MUCH cheaper than raising the front.

I agree that the truck will look better if raised in the front but the air flow under the raised truck will add to fuel consumption. Also, the view of the road is better if it isn't jacked up.

I like the idea of lowering it for ease and less fuel use, but I really enjoy being as intimidating as possible so people will drive civilly around me. I also dont like the fact that I can barely squeeze under the front of the truck as it sits now without jacking it up.

I really like those billet collars. I think I will go with those. Did you have to get longer shocks with those?

I just put the 1.5 Daystar spacer kit on mine last week truck is almost level but not quite. The only way to lower in the rear is to remove a leaf spring and you do not want to go that route, there are no spacer blocks between the leaf springs on the 2006 2 wheel drive to remove. If you go above 2 inches in the front you will need longer shocks and there is a good chance truck will not align properly. I would recommend the 1.5 Daystar spacer kit truck looks way better and the head lights are wear they should be.

I'm embarrassed to ask, but what kind of suspension do the 2wd trucks have?

Double A-arm/coil spring setup.

Is it a separate coilspring and shock? Or does it use a coilover shock assembly? Anyone have a pic they could post?

I have a 2004 2wd 3500 dually and I just put on 22.5 Alcoas Monday of this week. I had the work done by American Force Wheel Co in Miami, Fl. The only suspension mod was a 2 inch leveling kit from Daystar. Since Daystar does not make a 2 inch kit for 2wd, they used the kit for the 4wd. They have been doing this conversion for over five years with no problems. The truck looks so cool and it is a level as can be. I am very happy with the conversion and highly reccommend it.

I installed 1.5 Daystar spacers in the front and have a 800lb slab of steel bolted to the bed. Level as can be and a nice ride.
