fm booster on stock stereo ??

kinda getting tired of the poor reception when heading out of town. I dont want to swap the stereo out but was wondering of anyone had tried installing an fm antenna booster to try and help it out ? Any success or brands recomended ?

FM boosters, at least in the past, usually only "boost" the static volume and don't really give you much better reception. Might I suggest XM or Sirius satellite radio. If you travel much this will be worth it.
