Mothers Back to Black works pretty descent

Stoners Trim Shine really shines them up but doesn't last long

I use a product sold at Napa called Duragloss. Its a tire foam that is also used for moldings, plastic, etc. Best stuff I've ever used, much better at repelling dust than Armorall. It works well on my exterior plastic and leaves no oily residue.

Usually the white gunk is wax. A damp Mr. Clean "Magic Eraser" can take it off pretty easily with out damaging. Also works on any black molding.

I mistakenly used some Black-Magic Titanium Matte tire finish on my black plastic mirror casings and door handles; that stuff really messed it up. It left a dirty looking residue all over them… looks like maybe the applicator I used was dirty. But now the black plastic has this dirty muddy look and I can’t get it off. It’s like its under a lacquer finish. Anybody know how to remove this stuff? I know body repair shops have a canned spray-on stuff that brings the black plastic back to NEW but they told me you can buy it at auto parts stores. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Yes I use this because its stocked at Napa and easy to get. However, I have also used the rubber and molding dressing and it also is a great product, it has to be ordered though so I don't always get it.

The other stuff I was speaking of

Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detailer, it will make the plastic black again and it will last through multiple run-ins with water.

I prefer the 303 Aerospace products, and they have both cleaner and protectant products.

As far as the magic eraser - it does work great, just be careful about using it on anything with a gloss or shiny/mirror finish (paint, chrome, etc.) as it states on the package - it will dull the finish.

Krylon Fusion Black paint.

That was what I did first.

Now I have powder coated aluminum handles.

Forever Black Tire Gel.

I put it on my fender flares too since they're coated with bedliner.
