How Do You Clean a AFE Filter/
I had A friend In UTAH install my AFE Magnum Sport while I was working and when I left the area I have been Busy in another State. I lost the friends Ph # and He Forgot to leave my paper work on the air system AFE a cone type filter.
Which brings me to this Question and appreciate an honest answer
What is the best way to clean the Filter?
Or what is the Preferred cleaning method?
Thanks you

Redworm, I remove it, tap it to get out the big chunks (bugs and what not), spray it with Simple Green and I have one of those hand held shower things that I put on the shower pipe so I can use hot water. Rinse it out from the inside out. Let it air dry. And spray it with some AFE filter oil. Lightly. Let it soak for a few minutes then look from the inside out and rotate it around with a good light source shining on it and look for light spots. Re-spray them, the reinstall it. You can find the filter cleaner kits online. Get the AFE ones. And try to see if it's the spray oil or the oil in the bottle. I don't recommend the bottle of oil. You have to put it on the tops of the pleats and let it soak in. Takes forever. The spray oil is much easier. And the filter kits that you get have both the oil and spray cleaner. But the cleaner just seems to be diluted Simple Green.
