How do I remove line-x from my BW flares?
 

Ready to paint them for a new look. I used 3m adhesive remover but that only dented the surface. Any ideas?

Probably gonna need new flares. You will probably do more damage to the flares trying to get the Line-X off, especially if it was prepped and applied right, that stuff is strong.

Just paint over them. They should look good.

The way to remove the Line X is with heat. If heated it will scrape off. You are right that it is tough, and not knowing about your flares, but heat will work. Also, be aware that you can use good automotive paint and paint the LineX. Still have the protection of the Line X but what ever color you want.
Painted properly, the paint on the LineX will hold up very well.

Grinder with wire wheel or regular disk's, then use a DA with all grits, prime, sand, block prime and paint.

The heat method might also work, maybe a stripper of solevent?

ANYTHING can be done with body work. All it takes is time.

If you have $$$ falling out of you rear then yeah just buy some new ones but if you have some spare time go hit it with the grinder and see what happens.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I had my bed line-x'd and some overspray got on the outside of the bed down low on the fender and I didn't notice it for a couple months. Now that I see it, it bothers me but I live 100 miles from where I had it done. Is there anyway I can get it off without damaging my paint job? Its very light but still I notice it. Thanks in advance for any help/advice!
