05 Seat Change
It’s been awhile.. but here I’m back… I have an 05 3500 SLT. It has Cloth seats with power driver.
I picked up a complete 05 Leather interior.
both front seats are power with heat. My plug is a small 5 pin square. The new seat plug is rectangle 13 pin. I thought All I gotta do is get the correct body harness under the carpet. So I did…. Well the plugs under the dash ,that the new harness plugs into is different. So I’m guessing the under dash body harness is different as well. I spent 400 dollars on this new harness… I wanted to avoid cut and splice. But I guess that’s my only option short of pulling my dash harness and replacing that, which I’m not doing. I really hoped the wiring was there to be plug and play, but it is not. Can anybody here help me out? I know there’s a ton of threads on this, but they all stop short of solving this. How and what wires do I cut and splice? Can I still use the new 400 dollar harness, am I just missing something? (Without replacing the under dash harness). I have owned this truck since new. I always wanted heated leather, I never dreamed it would be this big of a f#*% story.
Thanks
