Homelink

I did a search on here and found some information on this, but have not found all my answers.I can't find any on e-bay for a Laramie Ram at this time, however there are several counsols that look like mine on there,my question is can they be taken apart and I would just use the counsol and homelink and retain my overhead computer?Next is there any place online to get the correct one for my truck? My wife has it in her Durango and had it in her previous Chevy, and it is really nice,as we have 3 overhead doors,I would get much use out of it.I have a 05 3500 Ram SLT

Keep an eye out on ebay. They will pop up now and then. The homelink is built in with the console (digital part). That is, your overhead read out is all one piece with homelink or in your case without. The module itself sells for I believe 250 at the dealers. Hope that helps you. One more thing, you will see several other "Homelink" modules for other vehicles (i.e. Jeep, Durango). Those will not work with our trucks, differenct PCM readings. So don't be tempted to get those.

I'm willing to bet that just like in my case the new modules default setting is for a 26 gallon tank. Very easy and no problem. Head on over to your friendly dodge dealer and kindly ask a techician that is on a cig break if he could do you a favor. All that needs to be done is for them to set the right fuel tank size in the module. While I was there he also set my new tires size. We both learned a few things....
