Hit a Deer need a new bumper
Hit a deer so I need to get a new front bumper. Looking for some suggestions for a good easy to install aftermarket bumper. Looked at Smittybuilt and others, but wondering if anyone out there has suggestions based on experience. I don't need a wench, and would like to reuse the stock fog lights and tow hooks if possible.
Thanks, Terry |
Look up Backwoods Bumpers. They are a member here and IIRC they are based in Tennessee. High quality bumpers without paying for the name!!

I've got a ranch hand legend bullnose on mine. Great bumper, easy to install. Was only 600 bucks. Not a huge ugly bumper. I smoked a deer with it one evening on HWY 13 in colorado and it worked great. Just had to wash the yuck off it when I got home.
There's a couple pics of it in the what year is best thread, 3rd gen forum. I can't upload it in this thread because I've already put it up on another thread for some reason. Pm me if you wold like me to send you a pic directly |
I'm using Frontier Gear. Easy install. Relatively light for it's size. Utilizes factory fogs. Bought used for $500.

Another option is Layne at Denver Off Road Bumpers. I hit a deer with mine at 60mph one night a few years ago. Scraped off the hair and she was good to go. Made of 3/8" and 1/2" aluminum.
