Grease all over my truck???
Grease all over my truck???
So i have some grease on the driver side of my truck from the middle of the front fender to the rear tail light an dont know where it cam from no evedence on tires or anything.. Will grease eat paint??? what should i do to get it off???
dont know if it will do anything to the paint but start your truk and check the blow by tube, under the truk kinda inbetween the tranny and motor on the drivers side, and does the stuff kinda smell like diesel.
it definetly looks like axle grease but ill have to look under it tomorrow.. when i was lookin under it earlier it didnt seem like there was anythin under neath the truck but its definetly in the fender well.. but there is no sign of grease on the tire..
Spray some WD-40 on it. It will dissolve it and will wipe right up, no damage to paint.. You probably drove over something on the highway.
If you don't see anything under the truck I would't worry too much.

Can't believe you haven't experienced this before, or maybe I hit every unseen glob of grease on the road. I seem to have grease splatters on the sides of my vehicles few times a year at least.
I use WD-40, Orange cleaner, lacquer thinner, gasoline, whatever is closest at hand.

3M Adhesive Remover works pretty good on it too!Tony
Only thing greased to that extent down there would be wheel bearings. Look inside your rim for throwoff. If that's clean you must of had it on the tire tread only and spun it off to the wheel well and out.
I agree wd40.
