Fuel/Water Separator?

Probably a stupid question, but here goes...

Stock fuel/water separator.

How often should I flip-the-lever to drain from the stock filter--just in case there's some water? I generally drain and change the filter at each oil change (or AT LEAST every other change...). Is that draining (at filter change) good enough?

Background to my question: I'm debating on Glacier's combined MK2 filter with fuel/water separator kit. But if the stock fuel filter (serving as water separator) is just fine, I'll just go with the MK2 filter set-up by itself.

(I know I'm probably overthinking this one...but humor me please.)
Thanks!

Fuel up at quality stations and the standard filter change interval is fine for draining.

The GDP 2mic between the stock can and pump is good insurance.

Yeah. I used to drain some fuel into a glass container every thousand or two miles, but I never found water, so now I drain every few thousand (unless I have to fuel someplace sketchy).

After a buddy had to replace injectors at low miles I put the GDP 2'micron filter kit on, which uses the stock setup as a prefilter/water separator.

For stock power applications, that seems to be a cost effective and easy to install way to get better filtration and injector protection.

I generally change both every 10k.
