I just bought a new 06 that had the drivers side door handle that would not return back when you opened the door. I had to push it in every time I opened the door. I took the panels off on the inside by removing 4 screws. Two on the bottom and one on the pillar one behind the inside door handle. Then I took off the handle with a torx bit. Now here is the only tricky part. Pull up to remove the outer panel. Once it is off you need to remove the 3 screws that hold the window and door controls to the panel. Be carefull and don't break off the cheap plastic panel. Have someone hold the door while u take them out. Next there will be a white moisture barrier. Peel it off gently until you can get your hands inside the panel. On the door handle there is a return spring. Spray some wd40 or equivalent on the spring and work the handle and bar together to loosen whatever is holding it open. If it is broken you can remove the handle and replace.

Just another bad day for me. After the caravan my sister and i joined my truck driver's side door wont unlock. Yes you can open it from the inside, but as soon as you close it, it stays locked. All other doors unlock and lock fine however i couldn't hear noise from the door handle. Why is this happening? and what's more strange is I can't manually unlock it. Read about the story of the poster and i was encouraged to post this one. hope he'll gonna reply in this..
